Due to college and time restraints, I have decided to completely sell out of my rabbits. Make an offer on any one! I have kept a select few rabbits the past few years, so what's left is the best of my breeding stock.
Just returned from the National ARBA Convention in Minneapolis! What an event. I am thrilled to announce that Eid's Aveda was the 2nd place Dwarf Hotot Sr. Doe!! I was also honored to observe the Lionhead presentation and see 2 varieties pass!
Snowflake Hill is a small hobby farm located in Western Minnesota. We raise Nigerian Dwarf goats, Mini Rex rabbits (specializing in Tri Colors), and Dwarf Hotot rabbits. We also have horses, alpacas, dogs, cats, and a few other small animals.
I have been showing rabbits in 4-H for the past 9 years. My family has had Mini Rex rabbits my whole life, and in 2001, my older sister started raising Tri-Colors. When she was done showing in 4-H, she passed her rabbits to me, and I have continued showing and breeding this unique variety of Mini Rex. Although I breed for tris, I do occasionally end up with a few blacks, REWs, and brokens, as you can see on my Mini Rex pages.
About 6 years ago, I decided to start breeding a less common type of rabbit, and chose the Dwarf Hotot. I was very lucky to start out with some really nice Hotots, and I'm continuing to improve my herd.
I only keep a small number (bewteen 15-30) of breeding and show rabbits, and I only breed for the best possible quality. I mainly show in 4-H, but I do attend a couple of ARBA shows every year, so if you are interested in one of my rabbits, there is a chance that we can meet at a show.
My family has also raised goats for most of my life. My sisters and I showed Nubians in 4-H for many years, but a couple of years ago, I fell in love with Nigerian Dwarf goats and started to raise them. Now, my herd is 100% Nigerians. I am selling a few kids and yearlings this year, so check out the ~For Sale~ page!
